Fall activities around Collinsville and beyond
November 10, 2022
This year’s fall is the time where the temperatures cool off and the chilly weather sets in for many people and is the perfect time to participate in fall activities and go to festivals.
In St.Clair and Madison Counties have many activities they do year around, but the fall is most popular. Most of those activities include pumpkin picking, traveling through mazes, apple picking and other fall activities. Usually these festivals occur in the months of early October or November and last up for several days. To participate in festivals some churches in Collinsville host the festival or do trunk or treat and trick or treat events for those who take part in getting candy for Halloween. There are also games or rides at the festivals for kids and teens.
If you want to travel for a long weekend, other festivals around the US during the fall include Sever’s fall Festival in Shakopee, Minnesota, which features light shows and a corn mazes with horse rides. Oktoberfest in Cincinnati, Ohio, which includes music and a dog race event with contests and competitions. The Great Jack-o’Lantern Blaze in Hudson Valley, New York features carved decorated pumpkins for a night glow, and a story of circus elephants. Idaho’s festival called Trailing of the Sheep Festival has a parade of 1500 sheep that walk through the festival with music, and a carriage for the streets parade events. New Mexico’s festival celebrates International hot air balloons in the sky with available souvenirs. Many states each year celebrate with different fall festivities for fun and entertainment.
