Why seniors should get out earlier at the end of the year.

Seniors at the end of the year are looking forward to their last days being a kid. We want to spend time with friends over the summer that we know we might not see again or be able to keep in contact with after high school. It is like a gift to seniors for working hard the past four years and it’s something we look forward to.

For as long as I can remember, Seniors at Collinsville High School have always been let out earlier at the end of the year. Senioritis is something that all seniors experience throughout the year, and even might experience our junior year. Alot of my friends are going away for college and I won’t be able to see them throughout the year. So this summer is going to be our final summer as teens together as most of us will be living on our own and growing up. This summer I want to spend the most time with my friends as possible. We like to drive around, hang out at eachothers houses and swim at eachothers houses.

As we wrap up our senior year, we are starting to reminisce about the good memories we all have and share together. Between football games, homecoming week, homecoming dance, and the Disney Trip that alot of the seniors went on. The last night of the Disney trip as we all went back to the hotel we were at, someone jumped into the pool and we all followed him because we saw how much fun they were having. Football games will probably be the one thing I miss the most because of how much fun they were. The themes this year and dressing up for the games will always be the highlight of that part of the year.

Now that we have a week left of our senior year, we need to realize that all the things that we have said to each other and done to each other never mattered. Whether we didn’t like someone or we became friends with someone that your friend didn’t like it never mattered because we can all leave that behind and start a new chapter in our lives.
