Homecoming: Down the yellow brick road and under the stars

Hannah Heidrich, Staff Writer

The annual Homecoming Dance will take place OUTDOORS for the first time ever on the QUAD starting at 7:00 p.m. and ending at 10:00 p.m. It is themed, “The Land of Oz”.  The dance will be under large tents complete with Bistro lighting, a dance floor and two free photo booths. The tents will also include heaters in case it’s cold or fans in case it’s hot.  No outside guests are allowed this year.  Since it is an outdoor event, I have been told there does not need to be masks and there will be approximately 5,000 square feet of dancing space so people can distance themselves.  This is a semi-formal event. The dress code means no flip flops, shorts, t-shirts, denim or blue jeans of any kind.  Guys are expected to be in dress or khaki pants, comfortable shoes and a nice shirt.  Ladies, you should wear a nice dress or pants suit and comfortable shoes.  Anyone not abiding by these rules will not be allowed into the dance. Cookies and bottled water will be provided. You must show your school ID to get into the gates.  The cost is $5 per person.  Hope to see you all there!
