Hungry Studio developed the game we all know and love, Block Blast! Arguably, it has taken the world by storm– the new “Pokémon GO.” Simply walking down the hall, Block Blast is on tons of screens. A scroll on TikTok and there’s a Block Blast video
According to Similarweb, Block Blast has reached #1 in the puzzle category and has 40 million active users. Wonderful, right? Wrong! Hungry Studio’s are deceptive liars. Riddle me this, how come every time I reach a score of 4,000, I’m given blocks that are impossible to make a combo with? And I know I am not the only one with this problem.
The adventure mode is not safe either. How can I get the easiest levels one second, and the next I’m staring at the most monstrous Impossible sight I’ve ever seen? Those little gems haunt my nightmares. Tons of brutely painful levels. Days of my life I will never get back.
You get on a roll and the game throws compliments at you, “Great!, Good!, Splendid!” Just for it to shut you down not even five seconds later. As you stare at the “revive” screen an indescribable rage builds inside of you. Its bright colors and abstract shapes are all just a cover-up to the lies. It’s a dreadful game but at the same time, you’re hooked and don’t know why.
Obviously, Hungry Studios are not liars and this is all just for fun (don’t sue me). Blockblast has become one of those games that everyone loves and has connected many people. The challenging nature of the game pulls people in. As a closing, don’t Blockblast and drive.
